It is situated in the center of Covasna county, in the subcarpathian area of the Bodoc Mountain, in the western part of the Basin of the Three Chairs. The commune is located at 28 km distance from the Municipality Sfântu-Gheorghe on DN11, Braşov – Târgu Secuiesc – Oneşti. The village is crossed by the Cernat River.
