The gun-founder and legendary freedom fighter Turóczi Mózes was the helpmate of Gábor Áron, the revolutionist of 1848-49. The gun-foundry located between the Petőfi and Turóczi Street exists today, as well. 64 pieces from the 70 gun pieces of Gábor Áron were founded at this very place in the period of January and June of the year 1849. The two memorial plaques on the house remind us to the gun-founder master. At the bust of the master Turóczi there are organized annually commemorations for the birth and death of the gun-founder.
